SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE SEASON

Sao Paulo - After a seven week break Nico Hulkenberg was back in the First Free Practice at the GP of Brazil. The magical place, where he gained pole position last year , led the Force India pilot to a successful conclusion of the season, ranking 8th.

On the short track of Interlagos the 24-year-old scored a best time of 1:15.178 minutes, which is a deficit of 1.367 seconds to Mark Webber’s best time (Red Bull). “Quite a good session for me“, said the Hulk. „I managed to do lots of runs and tested quite few different set-ups on the car.“

The long break was no problem for the Hulk. „I got back into the groove pretty quickly“, he explained. „It’s a short lap, but I like the undulating layout, which includes some great corners.”

Both McLaren pilots were right behind Webber: Jenson Button was second with a best time of 1:13.825 minutes – Lewis Hamilton was 0.136 seconds slower and ended the session on rank three.
