THE HULK JUST AS SUCCESSFUL IN THE AFTERNOON

Spa - A first for Nico Hulkenberg: For the first time ever the Force India pilot drove the 2nd Free Practice on Friday afternoon at the GP of Belgium. Fighting mixed weather conditions the Hulk managed to claim a strong 8th rank.

The team expected a dry 1st Free Practice and rain in the afternoon, which is why the references were changed on short notice. But then things turned out very differently: the first session was rainy and the Hulk managed to drive a few rounds on a dry track during the second session.
“Typical Spa-weather,“ the Hulk said. “Yet we were able to make a good and valuable job. The car felt really good and the rest of the weekend seems very promising.“

The Hulk’s quickest lap of 1:51.725 minutes got him on rank eight – 1.404 seconds behind the daily best time of Mark Webber (Red Bull). Behind Webber were ex world champions Fernando Alonso (Ferrari / +0.140) and Jenson Button (McLaren / +0.449).
