Hey guys,we’ve made it to the final quarter of the season. After the race in Suzuka last weekend, I’ve spent a few days in Tokyo, before heading to South Korea. After that, I’m going to fly to England to watch the top ten kids of our FIDA program (Force India Driver Academy) compete against each other at their final week in Silverstone. Since I am godfather and jury member of FIDA, I will be there to observe our kids’ performances.
We’ve managed to be constantly within the top ten, except for Suzuka, where we haven’t achieved our goal. On top of that the Safety Car made our performance there even worse. But over the last five GPs we have eagerly collected points and managed to claim rank 6 in the constructors championship.
Last friday, my training session went really well and I had a lot of fun. Suzuka is a great track and one of my favorites: fast, fluent, challenging and no never ending run-off areas. That’s tempting for most of the drivers. Since we didn’t have any new items, we’ve only worked on the set-up and tried to learn as much about the tyres as possible.
At the end of the month the first Indian GP in the history of Formula 1 is waiting for us. And since we are an Indian team, we’re very excited and looking forward to this event. We will arrive there one week before the race to do some public relations work in various cities, so we don’t find the grandstands empty.
Concerning 2012, there aren’t any news yet – we’ve still got to be patient.
All the best and see you soon,
Nico

Hello everybody, just a few days before my holidays I am sending you the next Hulkenblog.
More than half of the races are over now and the well-deserved summer break has begun. I was having many good Friday sessions recently and with our car, it’s getting better and better. Even though I only drive about 20 laps each session, it helps me a lot not to be out of practice. The team’s results in the last races were very good and after the summer break we’re going to attack and hopefully catch the Saubers in the constructor’s championship.
Many people keep asking me about my future and if I’m going to race again next year. The only thing I can say is that I have to stay patient. I want to race with Force India in 2012. If the team want me as well, it will happen. The team’s feedback is very good so far, they are very happy with my work, so I certainly hope for a race cockpit. But Vijay, our team principal, recently said he would decide not before December, so I have to wait. It is hard, because I’d rather get to know it immediately, but that’s how it is now.
I am looking forward to relaxing now to be well-recovered and have a good start in the second part of the season on 26th August in Spa.
Enjoy your holidays!
See you soon
Nico

Hi everybody,I owe you the next Hulkenblog – here it is!
Today I’m writing you from my hotel room in Malaysia.
The season has begun and it’s fun to travel from one end of the world to the other. At the moment I still like these long flights – but this will surely change during the year. :)
It’s a strange feeling to travel around the world for Free Practice I „only“. I’m still trying to get used to this situation, even if it’s hard.
In Melbourne I was holding down my job as a TV expert for SKY for the first time. I really have to admit that it’s highly interesting to have a different perspective on the whole thing – I mean not as a driver, but as a „TV reporter“. The guys from SKY are really kind and they help me a lot so that everything works as it’s supposed to be.
I’m heavily looking forward to sitting in the car again on Friday. I enjoy every single lap and I’m addicted to more. We are going to test the „super hard“ Pirelli tyres for the first time – I’m excited how they are going to work.
So take care and see you soon!
Nico
